KENNEWICK -- Seven-year-old "Sage" wandered out of his owner's pen around 12:30, then slipped into a canal ditch along 12th Avenue. Firefighters tried several ways to get him out, including building a ramp.
Several hours later, rescuers finally had to sedate and airlift him out of the ditch. The horse sustained minor scrapes on his legs.
